7+ and 8+ Exam Skills Course, 19-20 October

This short course is aimed at students who will be applying to academically competitive schools at 7+ and 8+.

The course is designed to get students exam-ready by helping them get used to the length and complexity of 7+ and 8+ assessments, which are often much more challenging than practice material available online.

Day I, we will focus on common English and verbal reasoning entrance exam questions. Students will practice written comprehension, dictation, and verbal reasoning vocabulary questions.

Day II, we will focus on non-verbal reasoning and maths. Students will look at 2D and 3D non-verbal reasoning problems, and work through maths word problems, one of the most challenging aspects of 7+ and 8+ assessment.

The final day will take the form of short, targeted assessments, with students given advice and guidance before each section. The intention is to guide an exam experience, and also to identify topics to work on before assessment.

Course dates: Saturday 19 – Sunday 20 October (two-day course)

Course fee: £750 +VAT

Timing: 10am – 3pm daily (5 hours)
